Math Game Monday ~ 24 Game

Today I want to share with you a little game with huge potential!  It's pre-made, fairly inexpensive, and tons of fun!  You can use this for a wide age range as well.

The 24 Game has a good bit of history behind it which you can read about by clicking the previous link.

There is also a page for Teacher's Tips containing awesome ideas for your classroom.

You can play a single-digit or a double-digit version, providing even more differentiation!

The object of the game is to always end up with the answer of 24.  Students can choose to add, subtract, multiply, and/or divide in any order they long as the answer is 24!

While the concept is rather simple, I have watched students totally wrapped up in this game!  I've also seen them begin to make connections to number relationships that would be much more difficult {and boring} to teach in another way!

So...if you haven't tried the 24 Game, I highly recommend giving it a shot!
